Alkaline Reverse Osmosis units neutralize the acids and boost the Alkaline pH in water. These units are available in 5 and 6 stages. Water in these units passes through a membrane and series of filters like in conventional Reverse Osmosis units, where each stage carries a specific task contributing to the removal of foreign particles, organic, and inorganic pollutants from water. Alkaline Reverse Osmosis units carry an additional stage of pH Balancer filter which makes the water alkaline. The multistage process uses no chemicals. The add-on pH Balancer Filter caters to providing Alkaline water.
Filter Replacement Schedule:
- Sediment Filter: Every 6 months
- Activated Carbon Filters: Every 6 months
- Thin Film Composite (TFC) Membrane: Every 3 to 5 years
- pH Balance Filter: Every 6 months
- UV System: Lamp Every 12 months
Ultra Violet Sterilizer comes as the 6th stage in 6RO55038ZWUV & 6RO57538ZBUV units only.
Replacement times for filters and membranes may vary depending on feed water quality and usage of the unit. Reverse Osmosis Systems are sold complete with filters, membranes, fittings, storage tank, faucet, wrench, & manual.
The Reverse Osmosis Units are installed below the sink and the pure water faucet is on the counter close to the sink. Installation of Reverse Osmosis Units requires technical background and at best should be left to trained installers. For customers with technical backgrounds, we strongly recommend reading the manual for instructions and following the steps as detailed.
