Whole House Iron Reducing Systems

Iron is a common pollutant in our water supplies, it imparts a “metallic” taste to prepared foods and beverages. In addition, it leaves brown rust stains on clothing and water-using appliances. Iron in higher concentration levels may damage pipes and water heaters as well.

The first stage Involves a sediment pre-filter which removes invisible precipitated iron. The second stage oxidizes the dissolved iron and filters it out. The carbon post-filter reduces organic Iron and filters out taste and odors, color, and chlorine, if present.
